I can assure you that you will enjoy it if you came to Siege looking for single player support. Bam, you now have the best tactical strategy shooter available.
Rainbow six siege single player mod#
Then get Ravenshield 2.0 mod and fix up the game to run on your display. It's on Steam, it's a fraction of the price and realistically Ravenshield has 5x more content and quality content (not to mention mod support, free of drm, etc).
Rainbow six siege single player code#
The netcode is so horrendous, you get shot behind cement walls because on the other players screen you had not gone behind cover and on your screen you did (that delay is what is referred to as net code lag and completely renders the competitive experience of a multiplayer game (take battlefield 3 and 4 for example, completely abandoned by serious competitive gamers due to the inconsistencies in the engine) kind of pointless). nobody wants this unless they have not played previous Rainbow Six games and thus are being tricked into believing that this is the standard. What part of this design accomodates for player experience? They're planning on charging money for additional loadouts and "operator" skins. Basically, Ubisoft is trying to go all "league of legends" on their in-game characters just to make more money. Now, you are forced to choose between "operators" with fixed loadouts and half-baked personalities in the form of VOs and cringe-worthy portrait stancing. You had complete control over all of those features in previous Rainbow Six games. You cannot choose what game mode (bomb defusal, terorrist hunt, hostage rescue) you wish to play, you cannot choose what map you want or what variant of the map you want (day, night, etc), you cannot choose the number of terrorists, you cannot choose specific squad members and build an effective roster, you can't have multiple squads, you can't order your squad AI to breach and clear with specific grenades and other useful interactive controls, you can't slowly crack open doors and look inside, you can't pre-plan the entire mission if you feel like filling the role of a commander of sorts, you can't customize your loadouts in a useful manner whatsoever. not this Call of Duty variant we see today, but more like Ravenshield) and I have put 40 hours into single player and 0 hours into multiplayer.

I only bought Siege for the single-player experience (after all, that is what Rainbow Six originally was intended to be.
